An impaired driver has been charged with vehicular homicide after a crossover crash killed a western Kentucky woman.

Kentucky State Police said troopers were dispatched to the crash near the intersection of Russellville Road and Goshen Road in Todd County on Wednesday evening at approximately 5:00.

The investigation revealed that 60-year-old Timothy Todrank, of Houston, Texas, was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram east on Russellville Road when he crossed the median and struck head-on a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Spark, being driven by 58-year-old Karen A. Hargrove, of Hopkinsville.

Hargrove was pronounced deceased on scene by the Todd County Coroner’s Office.

In addition to vehicular homicide when under the influence of drugs/substance, Todrank was charged with DUI (non-alcohol), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Todd County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
