A burglar led police back to his residence after leaving footprints in the snow.
The Glasgow Police Department said officers responded to a report of a burglary at a building at Weldon Park Tuesday during the overnight hours. Once on scene, officers discovered that the building had been damaged and a toolbox stolen.
“Officers were able to review video surveillance and track the suspect by the footprints left on the snow-covered ground back to a residence on Cleveland Avenue,” the Glasgow PD said.
Upon arriving at the home, police made contact with the suspect, 37-year-old Logan K. Stilts, of Glasgow, and located the stolen toolbox inside the attic of the garage.
Stilts was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and second-degree criminal mischief.
He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
