Bernie Rose Rhodes, age 67, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 30, 2024) at her home in Leitchfield. She was born on November 18, 1957 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude “Trudy” Jeffcoat Smith.
She was a free-spirited, stubborn, wild child according to her daughters. She had a hippie soul and enjoyed many hobbies during her lifetime. She and her late husband, Danny Wayne Rhodes, were married twelve years until his death.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Rhodes, Amber Foreman (Lawrence), and Bobbie Rhodes; ten grandchildren, Patera Embry, Emilia Hood, Jeremiah Hood, Benjamin Tomes, Wyatt Durbin, Kendra Logsdon, Bailie Bentkowski, Kalie Evans, Bethanie Evans and Jameson Rhodes; grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Nyla Logsdon and Ny’mir Bean; brothers, Ted Jeffcoat (Marcia), Don Jeffcoat (Dawn), and Max Jeffcoat; sister, Chris Perry (Jim); a caregiver, and very special friend in her life, Jr. Rand and his wife, Kerrie; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her dog, Meatball and her cat, Steve.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, her husband, Danny Wayne Rhodes; sister-in-law, Twila Jeffcoat; a loving partner, Scotty Dennis; and her cat, Mayra.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (December 8, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home
in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Wo Ai Ni Cemetery on the family farm.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of
services.

with final expenses.
