An Elizabethtown man has been accused of breaking into his grandfather’s house twice and stealing guns and cash.

Alexander G. Brock, 21, was indicted by a Hardin County Grand Jury on a first-degree burglary charge, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

The indictment stems from Brock breaking into his grandfather’s home through a back door and stealing 17 firearms and cash on September 30. Brock, while being questioned by police, said he again broke into his grandfather’s home on October 1.

Brock sold or traded several of the firearms at Hardin County pawn shops on September 30 and again on October 2, while some of the stolen items were found in Brock’s vehicle, the Elizabethtown newspaper reports.

Brock was arrested at his Virginia Avenue home by Kentucky State Police on October 4. He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center but was released after posting a $10,000 unsecured bond.
