Man facing life in prison after raping young relative for over a decade

A Carroll County man has been found guilty of raping and sodomizing a relative for a decade beginning when she was less than 12-years-old.

Kentucky State Police said detectives received a report on June 16, 2021, of a suspect sexually abusing a juvenile relative over the course of 10 years.

Through investigation, state police determined the female victim had been sexually abused multiple times during the 10-year period, beginning when she was a juvenile. The investigation also revealed two additional victims of sexual abuse.

The investigation resulted in the indictment and arrest of 50-year-old Terry Glacken, of Carrollton, on November 15, 2021.

Glacken’s trial began in Carroll Circuit Court on November 6, 2024, and concluded two days later with the Glacken found guilty of two counts of first-degree rape (forcible compulsion), first-degree rape (victim under the age of 12), first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12), two counts of first-degree sex abuse (victim under the age of 12), first-degree sexual abuse, and incest.

Glacken faces up to life in prison when he is formally sentenced in January 2025.
