A man found asleep in the parking lot of an Ohio County factory has been arrested after police discovered nearly 10 grams of methamphetamine.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the parking lot at the Perdue Farms factory at 489 Cromwell Road on the report of a male “asleep in the front seat of his vehicle.”
Deputies made contact with the male, 30-year-old Jimi R. Brown, of Sacramento, and observed a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue in Brown’s lap, police said.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a bag containing approximately 9.95 grams of methamphetamine.
Brown was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
Brown’s criminal history dates to 2012, according to online records, as he has been arrested numerous time for offenses including endangering the welfare of a minor (multiple times), theft (multiple times), burglary, possession of synthetic drugs, receiving stolen property (multiple times), possession of methamphetamine (multiple times), fourth-degree assault, and trafficking in methamphetamine.
