Kentucky State Police is searching for a suspect accused of killing his mother and setting her house on fire.
On Friday morning at approximately 1:00, troopers were dispatched to a residential fire on Old Springs Road in Wayne County after firefighters discovered the body of 64-year-old Mary J. Fulton, of Monticello, inside the home.
Fulton’s son, 43-year-old Joseph K. Fulton, who lived with his mother, was ”missing from the scene and had reportedly made statements claiming he shot his mother and set the house on fire,” state police said.
Fulton is considered armed and dangerous and has an active arrest warrant. He is described as standing six feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and possibly tan of Khaki pants, police said.
He may be driving a 2008 gray or tan Dodge Nitro bearing license plate number BHH801.
