Drug sweep results in arrest of 20 suspects, seizure of meth, pills, guns, cash in Ohio Co.

Twenty suspects have been arrested in Ohio County after a months-long drug investigation.

“The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office over the past couple of months have targeted several individuals for trafficking and possession of narcotics,” Sheriff Adam Wright said.

During the operation, which resulted in mostly drug possession charges, police seized over 33 ounces of methamphetamine, 111 pills, two ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, over 16 grams of ecstasy, 11 ounces of marijuana, 12 firearms, two vehicles, and $11,000 in cash.

The cases were presented to an Ohio County Grand and the following suspects were indicted and arrested this week:

Ryan Littlejohn, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, at least his third such offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jennifer West, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Victoria Workman, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Cathryn Decker, of Russellville: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Bruce Evans, of Cromwell: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession marijuana.

Misty Corum, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia

Sherman Pogue, of Hartford: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mark Durden, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Parker Ashby, of Owensboro: Trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of ecstasy), trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of psilocybin mushrooms) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cyrus Simpson, of Beaver Dam: Trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of ecstasy), trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of psilocybin mushrooms) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lucas Tinsley, of Hartford: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges enhanced due to the presence of a firearm.

Taylor Burden, of Centertown: Possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kelly Owen Jr., of Utica: Possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

Desirae Hall, of Hartford: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, second such offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges enhanced due to the presence of a firearm.

Jayden Sorrells, of Centertown: Trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of ecstasy), trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 doses of psilocybin mushrooms) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shannon Dowell, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Autumn Embry, of Hartford: Possession of a firearm by convicted felon and giving an officer false identifying information.

Clifton Simpkins, of Morgantown: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, at least third such offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Penny Fields, of Beaver Dam: Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Kevin Baize, of Cromwell: First-degree criminal mischief and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Additionally, four federal indictments were obtained and will be served at a later date, Wright said.
