A brick of fentanyl and more than 1,000 fentanyl pills have been seized in eastern Kentucky.
The London Police Department and its Special Investigations Unit seized the largest amount of fentanyl in the history of the department, as officers seized over a kilo (2.2 pounds) of the drug along with more than 1,000 pills.
“This has a street value of $50,000 that won’t reach our community,” London police said.
No arrests were announced. A review of inmates currently incarcerated at Laurel County Corrections shows no suspect[s] being held on corresponding charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
