A Spencer County man has been arrested after employees at Best Buy found hundreds of images of child pornography on his computer.

Jack M. Hancock, 78, of Taylorsville, was arrested by the St. Matthews Police Department on Monday after the suspect took his computer to Best Buy on Shelbyville Road to have files moved to an external hard drive, WDRB.com reports.

During the process of moving the files, Best Buy personnel discovered hundreds of files containing images of child pornography.

Police executed a search warrant at Hancock’s residence on Monday morning and, upon arriving, found the suspect downloading child porn.

Further investigation showed Hancock was in possession of child porn showing adults engaged in sex acts with children under the age of 12. Hancock admitted to police that he had downloaded “at least 300 sexually explicit images of children with adults,” according to WDRB.com.

He was charged with numerous counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12) and lodged in Louisville Metro Corrections on a $10,000 cash bond.
