A Kentucky State Police Elizabethtown Post 4 trooper has been accused of kicking a small child in Hardin County.
Robert “Trey” Moster III was charged last month with allegedly kicking an eight-year-old child, causing injuries to the victim, according to a report by WDRB.com.
He was charged with misdemeanor child abuse and given a $1,000 bond, which he posted. He was released from the Hardin County Detention Center on September 27. No mugshot is available.
Moster allegedly kicked the child because he/she went to a neighbor’s house without permission.
A Kentucky State Police spokesperson told WDRB.com that Moster has been placed on administrative leave.
“Troopers are expected to uphold the law in their professional and personal capacity,” the spokesperson said.
His arraignment is slated for October 21 where Moster will appear in front of a specially appointed judge.
He is originally from Louisville.
