A Leitchfield man has been jailed after allegedly threatening to kill three people and assaulting a woman in a domestic violence incident.
Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sean Fentress arrested 54-year-old Brett Davies on Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:30 and charged him with third-degree terroristic threatening, fourth-degree assault, menacing, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
The arrest came after, according to the arrest citation, three people locked themselves in a bathroom after Davies became “irate and (was) threatening everyone.”
Police said a female victim accused Davies of striking her in the face during an argument before retrieving brass knuckles and threatening to kill a male at the Kendall Road residence.
When the three victims made their way to the bathroom in an attempt to protect themselves from the suspect and call 911, Central Dispatch could hear Daviess say: “If he wanted to he could tear down the wall and kill them all,” the citation says.
One of the victims said Davies committed the acts after “coming out of a blackout” after “drinking excessively.”
He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
The suspect, according to online records, was previously arrested on a domestic violence assault charge in Grayson County in December 2019.
