Two men have been arrested in Laurel County after police discovered over $150,000 in stolen farm and lawn equipment.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root said police received information on multiple stolen items at various locations in eastern Laurel County.
When deputies executed search warrants, they discovered generators, tractors, trailers, lawn equipment, and a boom truck.
“The value of the items stolen was over $150,000,” according to Root.
Deputies arrested 60-year-old Scott Fowler, of Lily, and 53-year-old Raymond Burkhead, of London. Each man was charged with theft by unlawful taking (over $10,000, less than $1 million) and receiving stolen property (over $10,000). Fowler was also charged with destruction of a VIN and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
They were lodged in the Laurel County Corrections. Burkhead was released after posting bond.
