A woman has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Elizabethtown.
The Elizabethtown Police Department responded Wednesday night at 7:30 to the crash at the intersection of Ring Road and Dixie Highway (Hwy 31-W).
The investigation showed that a Hyundai passenger car was traveling east on Ring Road when the vehicle crashed into the rear of an eastbound Chevrolet pickup truck that was stopped in the intersection, according to Elizabethtown PD spokesman Chris Denham said.
The driver of the Hyundai, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
The adult male driver of the truck, along with a juvenile passenger, was transported to Baptist Health Hardin with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Denham.
The Elizabethtown PD collision reconstruction team is leading the investigation.
