The expected remnants of Hurricane Helene, forecast to bring heavy rain with flash flooding possibilities and strong winds, has resulted in the Grayson County High School football game scheduled for Friday being moved to Thursday night.

As K105 reported earlier on its Facebook page, Friday night’s football game versus Bullitt Central High School has been moved to Thursday night at 6:30 at Cougar Stadium.

The contest will be broadcast live by K105 Digital Productions.

The National Hurricane Center is forecasting Hurricane Helene to make its way to the Big Bend of Florida late on Thursday as a Category 4 storm – wind speeds between 130 and 156 miles per hour — before moving in a northwesterly direction through Georgia, Tennessee and into Kentucky.

Grayson County could receive several inches of rain between Friday and Sunday (forecast models show possibly over four inches), and flash flooding is a concern for the region, according to the NWS.
