Nora Hack Smiddy, age 89, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Sunday, (September 22, 2024) at her home.
She was born on November 1, 1934 in Shrewsbury, KY, the daughter of the late Thomas Bill and Priscilla Farris Nash.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed her flowers and her garden. She loved her family dearly. She leaves behind her dogs, which she loved as family. Nora was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Lee Hack (Betty), Ronnie Lee Hack (Melissa), Glendal Earl Hack (Karen) and Loretta Murray (deceased husband, Mike); sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Myrtle and Hazel Hack. Several nieces
and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Hack, Sr., and Larry Smiddy; her son, Frank Hack, Jr.; siblings, Billy, Cindy, and Loraine; and a dear friend, Calvin Scott.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (September 27, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
