The remains of an eastern Kentucky woman who went missing in 2016 have been identified.
Angela “Toot Toot” Smith, 30, of Big Creek (Clay Co.), was reported missing by her family on March 27, 2016. On March 6, 2021, human remains were found in the Big Creek area of Daniel Boone National Forest.
“After exhaustive testing the remains were positively identified as those of Angela “Toot Toot” Smith,” Kentucky State police said.
Foul play is suspected, and the investigation is ongoing by KSP Det. Logan Gay.
