Grayson County has been placed under a Burn Ban.
Judge-Executive Kevin Henderson signed an Executive Order on Tuesday banning all outside burning in the county, as he and other officials have “determined that a fire hazard period exists.”
The Burn Ban is in effect until the county “receives sufficient rainfall to mitigate the fire hazard period,” the executive order states.
The penalty for violating the total burn ban is not less than a $500 fine and between 30 and 100 days in jail.
