A man has been killed after leaving a Warren County roadway and entering I-65 and colliding with a tractor-trailer.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash Friday night at approximately 7:00 near the 22-mile marker of I-65.
An investigation showed that a 1997 Ford F-150, being driven by 37-year-old Manuel V. Garcia, of Bowling Green, was traveling on Cumberland Trace Road when the truck left the roadway, traveled through a fence and enter northbound I-65, state police said. The truck then struck a 2017 Freightliner semi, being driven by 35-year-old Abdiaziz Shirdon, of Columbus, Ohio.
Garcia was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. Shirdon was transported The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
