A man has admitted to drinking 18 shots and then beating a one-year-old child and biting a five-year-old.
The Madisonville Police Department on Tuesday night arrested 31-year-old Eric T. King, of Madisonville, and charged him with first-degree criminal abuse (victim under the age of 12).
King was arrested following an investigation that revealed a one-year-old suffered serious injuries at a home on South Kentucky Avenue. The child, according to WHOP.com, “had severe bruising to the back, buttocks, side, and stomach.”
A five-year-old child had bite marks and bruising as well.
While being questioned by police, King admitted to causing the injuries after drinking 18 shots of alcohol.
King was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on a $7,500 cash bond.
