Gloria Dean Lindsey Simpson, 66, of Sunny Point passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sept. 6, 2024, at Hospice House in Bowling Green.

The Edmonson County native loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed sewing, was a homemaker, a 1975 graduate of Edmonson County High School and a member of Big Reedy Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Iland W. Lindsey and Iva Mae Lindsey. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ravin Lindsey and a brother-in-law, J.C. Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunny Point Cemetery. Visitation will take place 11:00 AM-7:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Don Simpson; two sons, Derrick Simpson (Kimberly) of Georgetown, IN and Devin Simpson (Jessica) of Caneyville; a brother, Aldon Dee Lindsey (Lydia) of Martinez, GA; six sisters, Rosie Huff (Lhebanon) of Roundhill, Elva Jean Johnson (Ernest) and Allene Miller (Carlos) both of Sunny Point, Hazel Miller of Huff, Judy Ann Logsdon (Kenny) of Cub Run and Sunday Lindsey of Dry Ridge; a sister-in-law, Mae Lindsey of Brownsville; nine grandchildren, Makayla Simpson, Ireland Simpson, Adelynn Simpson, Desmond Simpson, Ruby Simpson, Daniel Simpson, Aemon Simpson, Priscilla Simpson and Quinn Simpson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
