A couple is facing nearly 60 child sex and child porn charges, according to Kentucky State Police.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested 37-year-old Christopher S. Ethridge and his wife, 28-year-old Amy S. Ethridge, both of Somerset, following an investigation “related to child sexual abuse material.”
The investigation was initiated when police discovered Christopher Ethridge sharing sexually explicit images of young juveniles online, authorities said.
State police executed a search warrant at the couple’s home and seized equipment used to facilitate the alleged crimes.
Christopher S. Ethridge is facing 34 charges, including first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12), use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, nine counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance.
Amy S. Ethridge faces 24 charges, including use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, distribution of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance.
Both suspects were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
