A Leitchfield man has been accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 12.
Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Erik Franklin arrested 60-year-old Jerry E. Carwile on the strength of a complaint warrant, according to the arrest citation.
The warrant charges Carwile with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12) and first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12).
He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center, but, according to court documents, Carwile was released after posting a $50,000 cash bond. Two of the conditions of the suspect’s release are not having contact with the alleged victim or complaining witness as well as having no contact with any minor children.
