James Ray Logsdon, age 83, of Anneta, Kentucky, passed away, Sunday, September 1, 2024, at his home.

He was born November 11, 1940, in Sadler, Kentucky, the son of the late Sterling and Sylvia Meredith Logsdon.

James was a devoted farmer and dump truck driver.  He spent his life cultivating his land and delivering rock. He left a mark on the lives of everyone he met. He was a good neighbor who was always willing to lend a hand.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patty Carroll Logsdon of Anneta; a daughter, Angie Petty (Desmond) also of Anneta; five grandchildren, Grant, Kolby, River, Rayne and Parker; one brother, David Logsdon (Martha) of Leitchfield; two brothers-in-law, Glendel Carroll (Lynn) of Clarkson, and Bradley Carroll of Leitchfield; four sisters-in-law, Barb Rigdon (Tim), Laura Cockerel (Dan), Lisa Rigdon, and Joyce Alford (Alvin); He had several people he accepted as grandchildren, Bran, Dust, Brayden, and Dustin; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harlan Logsdon; and seven sisters, Geneva Decker, Wilma VanMeter, Nora Mae Mercer, Betty Saltsman, Mildred Newton, Maggie Mercer Decker, and Imogene Sandlin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM (CT), Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson with Bro. Wayne Clemons officiating. Burial will follow at McGrew Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday after 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
