The body of a man has been discovered in a field near his home.
Russell County Search & Rescue said the body of a man was found Sunday evening at approximately 8:15 in an “overgrown field” on Hwy 127, north of Russell Springs.
The Russell County Coroner’s Office identified the decedent to news outlets as Walter “Emery” Thomas, who lived not far from where his body was found.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for a cause of death determination.
