A teenager has been charged with killing an elderly man in Edmonson County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers were dispatched Sunday morning at approximately 12:30 to 656 The Bridge Road, about 12 miles southwest of Brownsville, at the request of the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found 83-year-old Ernest Cline, of Bowling Green, deceased “in a bed,” state police said.
At 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning, 18-year-old Damien Worrel was booked into the Hart County Jail and charged by Kentucky State Police with murder and first-degree robbery, according to the jail website.
No other information regarding the arrest was released.
The investigation is ongoing and led by KSP Det. Allen Shirley.
