A missing juvenile has been arrested and charged with several felonies including firearm and drug counts in Butler County.

Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor said officers earlier this month were notified of a missing juvenile, who was previously ordered by a court to be jailed in the Warren County Juvenile Justice Center, being spotted at Oak Hill Apartments.

Officers arrived at the apartment complex and located and detained the juvenile.

During the ensuing investigation, police recovered a stolen handgun, a bag of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from the suspect.

The juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a handgun by a minor, receiving stolen property (firearm), defacing a firearm, tampering with physical evidence, and third-degree criminal mischief.

The suspect was lodged in the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.
