The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) has recognized state Sen. Steve Meredith as a 2024 KHA Legislative Champion for his outstanding service and leadership in the Kentucky General Assembly.
“The award was presented during a meeting at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, where Meredith was honored for his unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare legislation that ensures access to quality patient care across the commonwealth,” according to the Legislative Research Committee.
As a former CEO of Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center, Meredith, R-Leitchfield, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role in the state Senate, where he continues to be a steadfast advocate for the healthcare community, according to the LRC. His efforts have led to the passage of critical legislation aimed at safeguarding the health and well-being of Kentuckians.
“It is always an honor to be recognized by the Kentucky Hospital Association,” Meredith said. “My time in healthcare has shown me firsthand the importance of access to quality care; especially in rural Kentucky. I remain committed to ensuring that every Kentuckian receives the healthcare they deserve.”
The Kentucky Hospital Association expressed its gratitude for Meredith’s dedication to the commonwealth and his relentless pursuit of policies that benefit both patients and healthcare providers.
