A Leitchfield man has been jailed for illegally entering a law enforcement officer’s property.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 5:30 when 56-year-old David Randall Kerr was caught by a law enforcement officer in front of the officer’s residence while shining a flashlight into a nearby wooded area and pond, according to the arrest citation.

The law enforcement officer detained Kerr, who told the officer that this marked the second time he had been on the property illegally, the citation states.

Kerr, who was arrested on methamphetamine trafficking charges in September 2019, further advised police that he was preparing to go frog gigging in the pond.

The suspect was arrested and charged with illegal taking of wildlife and third-degree trespassing and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
