An elderly man has been killed in a vehicle vs. lawn mower accident.
Kentucky State Police responded to the crash on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:00 on Hwy 76 (Millerfield Road) in Adair County, about eight miles east of Columbia.
The investigation showed that 78-year-old Ralph Grider, of Millerfield, was in the roadway traveling east on a Craftsman lawn tractor when 71-year-old Larry Goodin, also of Columbia, collided with the rear of the lawn mower, according to state police.
Grider was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Adair County Coroner’s Office. Goodin was uninjured.
The collision remains under investigation by KSP Sgt. Adam Likins.
