Willie Raymer, age 92, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, (August 3, 2024) in Louisville, KY.
He was born on July 17, 1932, in Ohio County, KY to the late Walter and Elsie Whitehead Raymer.
Willie worked as a die-setter at General Electric for 36 years. After retirement he enjoyed working on lawnmowers. He was known as the “lawn mower man.”
He married Ruby Lindsey Raymer on August 11, 1950 and they raised a loving family together. They were married for 64 years until her death on December 18, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Terry Raymer (Ann), Tim Raymer (Debbie), Peggy Worth (Jerry), Verita Worth (deceased husband, Michael), Pamela Spencer (Roger), and Tenya Raymer; and eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lindsey Raymer; and five siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, (August 7, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
