Kentucky State Police is investigating a shooting in Trigg County after an armed intruder was shot and killed by the homeowner.
Troopers responded to the shooting Saturday morning just after midnight on Linda Lane in Cadiz at the request of the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation has so far shown that 25-year-old Austin Gardner, of Cadiz, entered a residence on Linda Lane armed with a weapon, according to state police. Upon forcing his way into a room in the residence, the male was shot by the homeowner, 21-year-old Cody Parker.
Gardner was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other information regarding the shooting will be released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing by KSP Det. Nate Moore.
