A Bullitt County man has been busted with nearly 30 pounds of marijuana at Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Nickalos W. Ashlock, 21, of Shepherdsville, was nabbed by a K-9 officer that alerted on his luggage, which, along with Ashlock, was arriving in Louisville after a flight from Los Angeles, California, according to a report by WAVE.com.

Law enforcement obtained a warrant to search the bag, and during that search police located 29.3 pounds of weed.

The incident happened on September 18, 2023, but Ashlock wasn’t charged until Monday when he was arrested while driving an allegedly stolen vehicle in the Okolona area of Louisville.

He was previously convicted of trafficking in marijuana in August of last year, WAVE.com reports.

Ashlock was lodged in Louisville Metro Corrections on a $10,000 cash bond.
