Crossover crash on I-69 kills 25-year-old woman

A woman has been killed in a crossover crash on I-69 in Webster County.

The wreck occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 1:30 at the 131-mile marker of southbound I-69.

Kentucky State Police said the investigation showed that 30-year-old Dexter B. George, of Greenville, was driving a Ford F-350 in the southbound lanes when he collided with a northbound Nissan Altima that crossed the median and was traveling in the southbound lane.

The Nissan was being driven by 25-year-old Krista N. Brune, of Evansville, Indiana. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Webster County Coroner’s Office.

George was uninjured.

The investigation is being led by KSP accident reconstructionist, Det. Brian Graves.
