Floyd Elmer Meyer Wilaby, age 78, of the St. Paul Community, passed away, Monday, July 8, 2024, at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born August 29, 1945, in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Floyd Elmer Meyer and Dorothy McIntyre Wilaby. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, a gun enthusiast and a NASCAR fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret, Earl and Walter.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Janice Clark Wilaby; two sons, Michael Joseph Wilaby (Molly) and James Martin Wilaby (Jennifer) and two grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew Wilaby and Kaitlyn Rene Wilaby.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM (CT), Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Dale Clark officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Friday at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson and after 9 AM, Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Paul Catholic School. These can be mailed to St. Paul School, 1812 St. Paul Road, Leitchfield, KY 42754 or given at the funeral home.
