The Caneyville Fire Department responded to Beasley’s Parkway Restaurant Wednesday after a fire was reported in the kitchen.
Firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the restaurant at 605 Morgantown Street at approximately 3:45 Wednesday afternoon when an apparent gas line became disconnected as equipment was being moved, according to firefighters. A flash fire or small explosion resulted, and burned the hand of a female employee.
She sought treatment at a doctor’s office.
The fire, which filled the building with smoke, was quickly extinguished.
Fire personnel ventilated the building and checked to ensure no evidence of an ongoing fire was present before clearing the scene at 4:30.
