A man has been killed in a two-vehicle accident in Muhlenberg County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash Tuesday after noon at approximately 2:50 to Hwy 70 west near Central City.
The preliminary investigation showed that 67-year-old Tammy W. Harris, of Central City, was driving a 2020 Buick Encore west on Hwy 70 when she entered the eastbound lane and struck a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, being driven by 61-year-old Quinton E. Basham, of Bremen.
Basham was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office. Harris was airlifted from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
The investigation is ongoing by KSP accident reconstructionist, Trooper Nathan Pedigo.
