A Grayson County woman was injured after a work truck turned in front of her vehicle on Anneta Road.

Grayson County Sgt. Jordan Jones and Deputy Sean Fentress, Constable Mark Stanton, the Leitchfield Fire Department, and EMS responded to the crash at approximately 2:45 Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of Anneta Road, at the intersection of Bloomington Road.

Leitchfield Fire Chief Tim Duvall reported the accident to Central Dispatch, as he was traveling directly behind one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Duvall told K105 that a Kia Sorrento was traveling north on Anneta Road when a southbound Kinetic/Windstream utility truck — which Duvall was behind –attempted to turn left onto Bloomington Road and pulled directly into the path of the Sorrento.

The Sorrento, being driven by a Grayson County woman in her 70s, struck a thick metal platform attached to the back of the utility truck, causing severe damage to the KIA.

Duvall treated the woman prior to EMS arriving at the scene. She was then transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The male driver of the Kinetic/Windstream vehicle was unhurt.
