Helen Ann Cripps Ritchie, age 73, of the Tar Hill Community, passed away, Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Baptist Health in Louisville.
She was born March 30, 1951, in Big Clifty, to the late Sherman and Lenora Whitfill Cripps. She was a Christian lady who joined Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church in May 1971. She was former seamstress working at different sewing factories and a former CNA at Grayson Manor Nursing Home. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved to give and help others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ritchie; a daughter, Shannon Cahill; a sister, Geraldine Cripps and three brothers, Paul, Robert and Charlie Cripps.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Denise (Kevin) Saling of Bee Spring; three grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Saling, Hannah Elizabeth Morales and Christian Greenwood; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Adalyn Saling; three sisters, Martha Langley, Erma Jean Eversole and Donna Cripps; two brothers, Ed Cripps and James Cripps; very special friends, Eddie Howard and Joann Clark and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM (CST), Friday, June 28, 2024, at Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris McGuffin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 7 PM, Thursday and from 9 AM to 1 PM, Friday at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson.
