Law enforcement in Kentucky, including the U.S. Marshals Service and Kentucky State Police, is searching for man wanted after being convicted of severe child abuse.

Nathan Ginter, 43, of Columbia, South Carolina, is wanted after being convicted of waterboarding, caning with a bamboo stick and using a stun gun on his three-year-old daughter, according to ABC25 in Columbia. He was convicted in absentia earlier this month after he failed to show up for his trial.

The U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday increased the reward for information leading to his capture from $5,000 to $10,000.

Police said Ginter should be considered armed and dangerous.

Ginter is thought to be with 32-year-old Riley Pearson, also of South Caroline. According to police, she is helping Ginter.

Ginter was spotted earlier this week in the Leesburg community near the Scott-Harrison County line. He was first seen in Kentucky at Hidden Lake Farm campground in Cynthiana.

Police said Ginter is six feet, four inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Ginter’s location is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 887-926-8332, or your local law enforcement.
