Garland Maxwell Lawson, age 83, of Big Clifty, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Grayson Nursing and Rehab. He was born July 16, 1940, in Grayson County, to the late Horace and Cora Hart Lawson.
He was a farmer and a member of Clarkson Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lawson and two infant sisters.
Garland is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Lawson; two nephews, Joey (Cheryl) Lawson and Jerry (Kelly) Lawson; a great-niece, Lauren Lawson; two great-nephews, Christopher Scott Lawson and Adam Jacob Lawson and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM (CST), Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM (CST), Wednesday at the funeral home.
