Multiple people were arrested Sunday night at a residential fire on Rison Drive in Leitchfield.
At approximately 10:40 Sunday evening, officers from the Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County deputies arrived within 90 seconds of being alerted by Central Dispatch that there was a fire in the basement of a Rison Drive home.
As first responders were en route, dispatch warned that there were “weapons and ammunition” in the basement.
What happened next is still being investigated, but an altercation of some sort seems to have taken place between at least two of the home’s occupants and first responders, possibly an LPD officer[s].
At least two people were arrested at the scene, according to an unconfirmed report. One other person was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center before being transported to the Grayson County Detention Center.
K105 will have more information on this incident as it becomes available.
