A military tank has overturned on a major roadway in Nelson County.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is working an accident in the 5100 block of Boston Road (Hwy 62), about five miles west of Bardstown. While scant information has been released at this point, the sheriff’s office posted a photo of an overturned tank on the side of the road.
The incident occurred Friday afternoon.
No information on how the tank came to rest on its top has been released. There’s also been no information released regarding injuries.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area about five miles west of Bardstown and 20 miles east of Elizabethtown.
