Carrie Lynnette McCrady-Basham, age 47, of Leitchfield, passed away Sunday, (June 2, 2024) in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on November 5, 1976 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of James
R. McCrady and her late mother, Karon Elaine Newton McCrady.
She worked as an insurance agent for All State Insurance Company. She enjoyed collecting different items, playing video games with her daughter, reading, shopping and sewing. She was baptized at Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, James R. and Sandy McCrady; her partner and fiancé, Eric Stinnett; daughter, McKenzie McCrady (Dylan Bell); step-children, Cody and Karen Stinnett; and special-added daughter, Amelia Farris; honorary son, Joseph Niles: step-dad, Shawn Willis; sister, Wendy Hill; step-brother and step-sister, Jeremy Decker and Jamie Nelms; several aunts and uncles, including, Aunt T; several nieces and nephews including, Case Galloway, Jocelyn
Hill and Chandler McCrady; and several cousins.
Other than her mother, Karon Newton McCrady, she was preceded in death by two angel babies; her brother, Erik Ryan McCrady; and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (June 9, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the McCrady Cemetery in the Pleasant Union (Wilson) Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
