Grayson County High School’s Amelia Hayes has finished as the regional runner-up in the pole vault.
The pole vault portion of the competition was held at GCHS on Thursday evening.
Other results included Reagan Nash coming in fourth place on the girls side. For the boys, Zach Pierce finished third with Ryan Higdon coming in fifth.
This is the second straight year that Hayes finished in the top two of the region. Last year, she won the region in the meet held at North Hardin.
The rest of the track and field team will travel to Meade County on Monday for the rest of the competition.
