A man high on methamphetamine has been charged in Hardin County with assault and other counts after he urged his dog to attack a man, and punched the victim in the face.

Kenneth G. Sanders, 38, of Shepherdsville, is accused of “sicking” his dog on a man at the intersection of Masden Street and Terry Drive in Radcliff on Sunday night, according to The News-Enterprise. The dog attack left a “large bite mark” on the victim’s back. Sanders also punched the man in the face multiple times leaving his faced swelled up.

The Radcliff Police Department located Sanders and his dog at a nearby liquor store on South Dixie Boulevard.

The newspaper reports that Sanders, who displayed dilated pupils, admitted to using methamphetamine prior to the incident.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, felony wanton endangerment and public intoxication (excludes alcohol). Sanders was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
