A Grayson County man is facing five rape charges involving a juvenile.

A Grayson County Grand Jury indicted 50-year-old William “Scott” Carter, of Millwood, on four counts of third-degree rape, second-degree rape (no force) and first-degree sexual abuse, according to court documents.

Kentucky State Police arrested Carter in February.

According to the arrest citation, Carter, under questioning, “disclosed information that he had sexual intercourse with a juvenile victim.”

Carter additionally told police that “they had sexual relations since July 2023,” the citation states.

Third-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse are class D felonies, punishable by one to five years in prison while second-degree rape is a class C felony, punishable by five to 10 years prison.
