Hardin Co. man accused of having sexual relationship with teen, giving victim drugs

A Hardin County man has been jailed after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teenager.

The Vine Grove Police Department on Wednesday afternoon arrested 27-year-old Devin C. Boozel, of Vine Grove, and charged him with two counts of third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and third-degree rape.

The arrest warrant, according to The News-Enterprise, states that the suspect didn’t allow the victim, a 16-year-old girl, to go to school. Boozel is accused of then smoking marijuana and vapes with the girl on multiple occasions.

The suspect and victim additionally engaged in sexual activity on several instances between December 2023 and May 2024.

Boozel is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
