A man has survived a 30-foot fall into a sinkhole in Warren County.
Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower told WBKO.com that the incident occurred in the 7500 block of Plano Road at approximately 3:00 Monday afternoon. Plano Fire Chief Kevin Bailey told the Bowling Green television station that the man, who has not been identified, was working in a field in the rain when “he fell on some slick leaves and just kept falling.”
The victim’s screams alerted people in the area, which led to his rescue. Bailey said he was in the sinkhole for about an hour.
The man was transported to a local hospital with only minor injuries.
