A man has been charged in Hardin County with felony strangulation for assaulting a woman who refused to have sex with him.
Kaden L. James, 18, of Louisville, was charged with first-degree strangulation after he strangled and assaulted a woman late Monday night at a residence in Hardin County, according to The News-Enterprise.
When Radcliff officers arrived at the scene, James was taken into custody but he escaped from police as he was being led out of the home. He fled on foot into a nearby wooded area, but was quickly captured.
In addition to strangulation, James was charged with fleeing or evading police (on foot), second-degree escape and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $7,500 cash bond.
